Fishing starts at the end of May and ends at the beginning of September. The high altitude accounts for the water being cold enough to sustain active fishing activities throughout the season.
Our lakes are home to indigenous speckled trouts and many grow to considerable size. At Poulin de Courval we have a rotation system whereas only half of our many lakes are open at all times. This selective control is the reason why trophy size trouts are caught year after year.
On our largest lake you will be using what we like to call “freighters”. These robust 20 horsepower outboards are nothing short of what could best be described as lake trucks. Row boats are available to fishermen wishing to enjoy the solitude of smaller lakes.
