Fishing starts at the end of May and ends at the beginning of September. The high altitude accounts for the water being cold enough to sustain active fishing activities throughout the season.
Our lakes are home to indigenous speckled trouts and many grow to considerable size. At Poulin de Courval we have a rotation system whereas only half of our many lakes are open at all times. This selective control is the reason why trophy size trouts are caught year after year.
Package
This year, due to high demand from our guests, we are pleased to offer a modified American plan fishing package. This offers you the leisure of leaving very early in the morning and to return in the evening for dinner.
The (3) day fishing package (Modified American Plan) includes :
- Lodging
- All dinners
- Noon lunch if you elect not to return to camp before dinner
- Satellite phone in main camp
- Daily housekeeping
- Boat, motor and gasoline - only on Poulin de Courval lake*
- Freezer / ice
- Customer service rep
- Fish are cleaned, vacuum packed and stored

- Internet at the office (WI-FI)
* On Poulin de Courval Lake, you will be using 20 horsepower outboard boats referred too as “freighters” or lake trucks. Smaller boats without motors are available on about 20 smaller lakes. However, for those of you in need of a small motor, they can be rented on-site for $ 35. 00 /day.
Excluded from the fishing package (Modified American Plan) :
- Alcoholic beverages (you may bring your own alcoholic beverages)
- Motors - the small lakes (rental $ 35.00 /day)
- Guide services ($170. 00 /day, tax free)
- Fishing permits (available on site)
